small steps for big environmental impact

This graphic is from Package Free, a company with tons of great earth swaps and information.

Making an environmental impact doesn’t have to be a big, daunting task! It’s as easy as making small changes in how you live your everyday life.

Thankfully, there are now a lot of good resources and companies committed to helping us make good environmental buying decisions! Here are a few of my favorites. Check them out and see where you feel inspired to make a swap!

Plastic Free has a comprehensive offering of sustainable swaps for the home, as well as for health and beauty. They also have different kits, or groupings of items, to get you started! Their blog, Trash is for Tossers is a great resource for learning more about sustainable living. Overall, it’s a great place to start when plotting your next small step toward sustainable living.

Earth Sider is another company offering products for the kitchen, home, health, and beauty. It has some of the same products as Package Free, but some are different or are sourced from different places! They also donate a portion of their earnings to support cleaning our oceans and forests.

Bite is a company that specializes in plastic free oral care products. Plastic free toothbrushes, mouthwash, floss, toothpaste, and teeth whitening products are all offered. The plastic free toothpaste comes in the form of tablets which they have in the mint flavor. They even have activated charcoal tablets for teeth whitening and berry flavored tablets for kids!

Etsy is not only a great place to find personalized gifts or vintage jewelry, but there is a wide range of sustainable products available. You can either search “sustainable products” to find the range of items listed, or if you know exactly what you’re looking for, search for that item to find handmade and locally sourced options!

No Plastic Shop is yet another company offering bathroom, kitchen, and beauty products. It’s similar to Package Free and Earth Sider, but is from the UK, therefore, they supply some different products than the other shops. It also means it’s a great local option for anyone shopping in the UK!

Yeah, I know I’ve talked about Lush multiple times before, but they really are a super accessible company that works hard to provide clean products, with lots of package free and recyclable packaging options. They specialize in body and beauty products and have lots of yummy smelling options to choose from.
